what is the best way to get spoken word poetry published

I am not sure what your definition of best is. If you want the quickest, self publish... If you are looking to spend the least amount of money, get the book "Poets Market" and check out the publishers there... Another great way is to open your own Myspace page dedicated only to your poetry. Make sure you are networking with other artists, publishing on sites like this one, going to events, and entering into contests. If you keep putting yourself out there, there is a much greater chance that a publisher will come to you.

If you want to self publish, check out www.lulu.com, they seem to be the best that I can find unless you are going to do thousands of prints, if so, you should go directly to a book printer!
