Why does poetry make everything better?

When i write poetry it makes me feel so much better. Why is this?

Answer

Me too! And I think it’s a number of reasons. I am not exactly sure why but I can guess we would all have different assumptions as to why... But if it feels good, keep doing it!

i think that when we write we release a bit of what ever emotion fueled that poem and find relief in releasing our emotions and not keeping them all bottled up inside

i completly agree with that comment...when i write i write about whats happening in my life. its a way to get with im feeling out and since im not a person to share how i feel its a great way to communicate without words being spoken. writing lets me organize my thoughts in a way and share what i may be going through at that time.

but other people have other opinons about why they make them feel good.

I think it's because we are releasing our emotions onto paper
and when we read something we are happy with
it makes us proud of ourselves that we accomplished something that others can enjoy as well
